Airs Monday, November 2, at 1 p.m. This week from the San Francisco Orchestra pianist Yuja Wang joins music director Michael Tilson Thomas for a performance of the Piano Concerto No. 1 in D-flat major by the precocious teenager Sergei Prokofiev. Debussy's evocative image for orchestra as well as several small romantic delicacies all composed to showcase the pallet of the orchestra including Fauré's Pavane, Schubert's Entr’acte No. 3, Dvořák's Legends for Orchestra, Grieg’s The Last Spring, and the Scherzo from Concerto symphonique No. 4 in D minor by Litolff.

He'll be joined by pianist Yuja Wang for a performance of the Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, Op. 30 by Rachmaninoff. To open the concert maestro Thomas will lead them in a Pavane by Faure and we'll also hear the Symphony No. 3 in C major, Op. 52 by Jean Sibelius.
