Airs Monday, March 6, 2017, at 1 p.m. This week on Carnegie Hall Live the Budapest Festival Orchestra is under the direction of Iván Fischer who will be joined by pianist Marc-André Hamelin for a performance of the Piano Concerto No. 1 by Franz Liszt. The concert opens with Weber's Overture to Der Freischütz and then the orchestra takes on the 5th Symphony by Prokofiev.

The concert is free and open to all and features the world premiere of Todd Gabriel's "American Essays." Also on the concert Weber's Trio in G Minor, Op. 63 and Martinu's Trio for Flute, Cello and Piano.
