Airs Saturday, April 16, at 12 noon. The 2015-16 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Donizetti’s Roberto Devereux. Soprano Sondra Radvanovsky stars as Queen Elizabeth I of England, completing her season-long quest to sing the leading roles in all three of Donizetti’s Tudor Queen tragedies. Earlier this season, Radvanovsky gave acclaimed performances as Anne Boleyn in Anna Bolena and Mary, Queen of Scots, in Maria Stuarda.

Airs Saturday, February 20, at 12 noon The 2015-16 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Donizetti’s Maria Stuarda. Soprano Sondra Radvanovsky sings the title role of Mary, Queen of Scots, the second of the three queens in Donizetti’s celebrated operas about the Tudor court. Soprano Elza van den Heever is Elisabetta – Queen Elizabeth I of England, Mary’s arch-nemesis – a role she sang to acclaim in the opera’s Met premiere in 2012. And Spanish tenor Celso Albelo makes his Met debut this season as Leicester, who is loved by both women.

Airs Saturday, January 9, at 12 noon. The 2015-16 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Donizetti’s Anna Bolena, with American soprano Sondra Radvanovsky in the title role. This will be the first broadcast of Radvanovsky’s season-long quest to sing all three of the principal heroines in Donizetti’s “Tudor queens trilogy,” being presented in its entirety for the first time at the Met this season. In the first opera, Anna Bolena, Radvanovsky stars as the young Anne Boleyn, who struggles to hold onto the throne of England.

Airs Saturday, September 12, at 12 noon. This week from the San Francisco Opera we feature Vincenzo Bellini's Italian masterpiece Norma starring Sondra Radvanovsky as Norma, Jamie Barton as Adalgisa, and Russell Thomas as Pollione, with Christian Van Horn as Oroveso, Jacqueline Piccolino as Clotilda, and A.J. Glueckert as Flavio. The production is directed by Kevin Newbury and the San Francisco Opera Orchestra and Chorus are under the direction of Nicola Luisotti with Ian Robertson as Chorus Master. Dianne Nicolini will host.

This week from the Lyric Opera of Chicago it's Donizetti's Anna Bolena featuring Sondra Radvanovsky as Anne Boyleyn, Jamie Barton as Jane Seymour, Bryan Hymel as Lord Richard Percy, Lord Richard Percy as Henry VIII, Richard Ollarsaba as Lord Rochford, and John Irvin as Lord Hervey. Patrick Summers will lead the Chicago Lyric Opera Orchestra and Chorus with host Suzanne Nance and special guest Roger Pines.
