A Brass and Percussion Ensemble program featuring works by Michael Daugherty, Giovanni Gabrieli, Aaron Copland, Karel Husa, Joan Tower, and Benjamin Britten.

Aired Friday, February 19, at 11 a.m. Kermit Poling spoke with Lois Robinson, Executive Director of the Shreveport Symphony and Composer Todd Gabriel about this Sunday's SSO Chamber music Concert which takes place Sunday, February 21, at 3 p.m. in Anderson Auditorium on the campus of Centenary College. The concert is free and open to all and features the world premiere of Todd Gabriel's "American Essays." Also on the concert Weber's Trio in G Minor, Op. 63 and Martinu's Trio for Flute, Cello and Piano.

The concert brings together the Shreveport Symphony and the Shreveport Opera Chorus performing an evening of Broadway overtures and definitive songs with Tony Award winning actress, Donna McKechnie and London’s West End star, Jeremiah James. They will lead the audiences through an evening of show stopping performances and overtures that have set the standard on Broadway.
