Aired Friday, April 29, at 11 a.m. Bill Beckett spoke with Michael Butterman, Music Director and Conductor of the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra along with composer Stephen Lias, about this seasons finale featuring works inspired by nature including the Gates of the Artic by Lias, La Mer by Debussy, Ghosts of the Grasslands by Heitzeg, and the Pines of Rome by Respighi.

Bill Beckett speaks with Chris Allen, a double bass artists with the Shreveport Summer Music Festival, about their fourth annual Louisiana Jazz Camp which will take place the weeks of June 20 through the 25 and from June 27 through July 2.  Early Bird registration ends Saturday April 30.

Bill Beckett spoke with Sister Helen Prejean author of the book Dead Man Walking, who will be in Shreveport on Friday, April 22 at 7 pm in the First Presbyterian Church of Shreveport for a talk called The Journey Continues – which previews the Shreveport Opera’s Performance of Dead Man Walking which will take place this Saturday, April 23, at 7:30 p.m. in Riverview Theater.

Bill Beckett spoke with Alan Dyson about the next Shreveport House Concert which featured a joint CD Release with Julieann Banks’ latest effort All These Things and Alan’s new release Stray Dogs By The Highway. Aired Wednesday, April 13, at 12 noon. Bill Beckett spoke with director Twyla Robinson along with Mary Ellen Kidd who takes the lead role of Susannah and Aiden Poling who appear in the role of “Little Bat,” when the Marjorie Lyons Playhouse and Hurley School of Music collaborate to bring “Susannah” to the stage at Centenary on Thursday, April 14th at 7:30 p.m., and there will be a 2:00 p.m. matinee on Saturday, April 16.
