Anna Netrebko returns to the Met in her acclaimed interpretation of the heroine Tatiana in Tchaikovsky’s romantic tragedy Eugene Onegin, opposite Peter Mattei in the title role, which he has also sung with the company to great praise. Robin Ticciati conducts the performance of Deborah Warner’s production, which also features Alexey Dolgov as Onegin’s friend Lenski, Elena Maximova as Tatiana’s sister Olga, and Štefan Kocán as Prince Gremin.

The 2016-17 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia starring soprano Pretty Yende as the feisty Rosina, tenor Dmitry Korchak as the love-struck Count Almaviva, and baritone Peter Mattei in the title role of the barber Figaro. Maurizio Benini conducts the performance which also stars Maurizio Muraro as Dr. Bartolo and Mikhail Petrenko as Don Basilio.

Airs Saturday, January 23, at 12 p.m. The 2015-16 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a broadcast of the October 31 performance of Wagner’s Tannhäuser. Met Music Director James Levine conducted – the Met’s first broadcast of this opera in over a decade. The cast features tenor Johan Botha in the title role of the fallen knight; soprano Eva-Maria Westbroek as Elisabeth, the maiden who loves him; baritone Peter Mattei as the noble poet Wolfram; mezzo-soprano Michelle DeYoung as the goddess Venus; and bass Günther Groissböck as the Landgraf.

Airs saturday, February 21, at 12 noon. The 2014-15 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Mozart’s Don Giovanni. It stars baritone Peter Mattei, who is widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost interpreters of the title role. New York Philharmonic Music Director Alan Gilbert leads the ensemble cast that also features Elza van den Heever as Donna Anna, Luca Pisaroni as Giovanni's servant Leporello, Kate Lindsey as the ingénue Zerlina, Emma Bell as Donna Elvira, and James Morris as the Commendatore, in addition to two network broadcast debuts: Russian tenor Dmitry Korchak as Anna’s fiancé, Don Ottavio, and Czech bass-baritone Adam Plachetka as Zerlina's fiancé, Masetto. Don Giovanni will be heard live over the Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network at 12:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, February 21.
