Airs Saturday, December 30, 2017, at 12 noon. The 2017-18 Metropolitan Opera broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Franz Lehár’s The Merry Widow. Susan Graham stars in her acclaimed interpretation of the title role as the wealthy widow Hanna Glawari, opposite Paul Groves as her commitment-phobic former lover, Danilo. Sir Thomas Allen sings the role of Baron Zeta, determined to play matchmaker while unaware that he is in danger of losing his own wife, Valencienne, to the dashing Camille de Rosillon, sung respectively by Andriana Chuchman and Taylor Stayton. Ward Stare conducts in his network broadcast debut. The Met’s production is by Tony Award-winning choreographer and director Susan Stroman. The Merry Widow will be heard live over Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network at 12:00 noon. CT on Saturday, December 30.

Airs Saturday, February 27, at 12 noon. The 2015-16 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a broadcast from November 21, 2015: Berg’s Lulu. Marlis Petersen starred as the seductive young heroine, a role in which she’s won worldwide acclaim. Johan Reuter played Dr. Schön and Jack the Ripper, whose obsessions lead to death and destruction. Susan Graham, who has sung over 20 different roles at the Met, added a new role to her repertory as the Countess Geschwitz, one of Lulu’s most devoted admirers.

Airs Saturday, August 22, at 12 noon. The Final broadcast in this year's LA Opera broadcast season feature Jules Massenet's 'comédie lyrique' in three acts and seven tableaux, Thais, starring Nino Machaidze as Thais, Placideo Domingo as Athanael, and Paul Groves as Nicias, with Valentin Atkin as Palemon, Milena Kitic as Albine, Hae Ji Chang as Crobyle, and Kihun Yoon as Servant. Nicola Raab directs and Patrick Fournillier will lead the LA Opera Orchestra in this production of Thais on Red River Radio. Duff Murphy will host.

Airs Saturday, August 30 at 12 noon. This week the LA Opera presents Jules Massenet's Thais with Nono Machaidze as Thais and Placido Domingo as Athanael. This performance will also feature Paul Groves as Nicias, Valentin Anikin as Palemon, Milena Kitic as Albine, and Hae Ji Chang as Crobyle. Patrick Fournillier leads the LA Opera Orchestra and Chorus.

Airs, Saturday, May 31 at 12 noon. This week the Lyric Opera of Chicago presents Wagner's masterpiece Parsifal staring Paul Groves as Parsifal with Daveda Karanas as Kundry, Thomas Hampson as Amfortas, Kwangchul Youn as Gurnemanz, Tómas Tómasson as Klingsor, and Rúni Brattaberg as Titurel. Sir Andrew Davis conducts.
