Airs Saturday, January 14, at 12 noon: The 2016-17 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Puccini’s La Bohème, the most-performed opera in the company’s history, starring Ailyn Pérez as Mimì, Michael Fabiano as Rodolfo, Susanna Phillips as Musetta, and Alessio Arduini as Marcello. Carlo Rizzi leads the cast which also features Alexey Lavrov in the role of Schaunard, Christian Van Horn as Colline, and Paul Plishka as Benoit/Alcindoro.

The 2015-16 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season – the company’s 85th season on the air – begins with a broadcast of the most-performed opera in Met history, La Bohème. The performance, conducted by Paolo Carignani, stars Barbara Frittoli and Ramón Vargas as the lovers Mimì and Rodolfo, with soprano Ana María Martínez as the spitfire Musetta.

Airs Saturday, October 17, at 12 noon. This week on the San Francisco Opera we feature one of the great masterpiece from Puccini's pen with La Bohème starring Alexia Voulgaridou as Mimi and Michael Fabiano as Rodolfo, with Nadine Sierra as Musetta, Alexey Markov as Marcello, Christian Van Horn as Colline, Hadleigh Adams as Schaunard, and Dale Travis in the roles of Benoit and Alcindoro. John Caird directs, Ian Robertson is the chorus master, and San Francisco Opera Orchestra and Chorus is under the direction of Giuseppe Finzi. Dianne Nicolini hosts.

Airs Saturday, January 24, at 12 noon.  The 2014-15 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Puccini's La Bohème, the most-performed opera in Met history. This story of love and loss, set among artists living the Bohemian life in Paris, features an international cast: Latvian sopranos Kristine Opolais as Mimì and Marina Rebeka as Musetta; French tenor Jean-François Borras as Rodolfo; Polish baritone Mariusz Kwiecien as Marcello; Italian baritone Alessio Arduini as Schaunard; and English bass David Soar as Colline. Riccardo Frizza conducts. La Bohème will be heard live over the Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network at 12:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, January 24
