Airs Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 1 p.m. This week at The BBC Proms we feature the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with violinist Joshua Bell, mezzo-soprano Stephanie d’Oustrac, and organist Cameron Carpenter, all under the direction of Charles Dutoit. The concert opens with El amor brujo by Manuel de Falla, the Symphonie espagnole by Lalo, and Saint-Saens' Symphony No. 3, “Organ.”

Airs Monday, January 9, 2017 , at 1 p.m. On this week's broadcast concert by the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra Pablo Heras-Casado will take the podium, joined by violinist Joshua Bell for a performance of the Violin Concerto in D major by Tchaikovsky in a concert that opens with two Chamber Symphonies, the Chamber Symphony by John Adams and the Chamber Symphony No. 1 by Schoenberg. The program also features music director Michael Tilson Thomas leading the orchestra in the Suite from A Quiet Place by Leonard Bernstein.

Airs Monday, August 18 at 11 a.m.  This week on the next broadcast concert from the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, violinist Joshua Bell will join maestro Juano Mena for a performance of Leonard Bernstein’s Serenade for Violin and Orchestra. Also on he concert Mason Bates’ Desert Transport and Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 3. From the archives we'll hear violinist Bronislaw Huberman's performance of Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto and Beethoven’s ‘Victory Symphony’ from “Wellington’s Victory."

Airs Saturday, November 2 at 12 noon. On this week's Cleveland Orchestra broadcast, music director Franz Welser-Moest will be joined on stage by Joshua Bell for a performance of Beethoven's Violin Concerto  in  D, Op. 61. The concert will also feature the Symphony No. 10 by Dimitri Shostakovich.

Airs Monday, September 2 at 11 a.m. This week on the San Francisco Symphony maestro Vasily Petrenko will be joined on stage by violinist Joshua Bell for a stellar performance of Glazunov's Violin Concerto in A minor, Op. 82. The concert will open with the Festive Overture by Shostakovich and concludes with Elgar's Symphony No. 1 in A-flat Major, Op. 55.
