Airs Saturday, January 21, at 12 noon. The 2016-17 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with Gounod’s adaptation of the Shakespeare classic, Roméo et Juliette, starring soprano Diana Damrau as Juliette, opposite tenor Vittorio Grigolo as Roméo. Gianandrea Noseda conducts, in Bartlett Sher’s new production which also features Virginie Verrez as Stéphano, Elliot Madore as Mercutio, and Mikhail Petrenko as Frère Laurent. Roméo et Juliette will be heard live over the Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network at 12:00 p.m.

Airs Saturday, January 16, 12 p.m. The 2015-16 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Bizet’s Les Pêcheurs de Perles (The Pearl Fishers), a rarity by the composer of Carmen that has not been seen at the Met in nearly a century. The opera, conducted by Gianandrea Noseda, tells the story of two friends, pearl divers who are both in love with a beautiful Hindu priestess.

Airs Monday, January 12 at 11 a.m. This week on the Pittsburgh Symphony Radio broadcast, Gianandrea Noseda conducts Alfredo Casella’s Symphonic Fragments from “La donna serpente” and Schumann’s Symphony No. 2, and then Jean-Efflam Bavouzet joins the orchestra for the Prokofiev Piano Concerto No. 5. Jim Cunningham will host.

Airs Monday, January 5 at 11 a.m. On the next Pittsburgh Symphony Radio broadcast maestro Gianandrea Noseda will lead the orchestra in Alfredo Casella’s Symphonic Fragments from “La donna serpente” and Schumann’s Symphony No. 2. Then Jean-Efflam Bavouzet will join the orchestra for a performance of Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 5. Jim Cunningham will host.

Airs Monday, June 16 at 11 a.m.  On this week's broadcast concert by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Gianandrea Noseda will lead the orchestra Aus Italien by Richard Strauss and La notti di Platon by Victor de Sabata. Pianist Benjamin Hochman will be the guest soloist for Maurice Ravel’s Piano Concerto (Left Hand Alone).
