Airs Monday, November 2, at 1 p.m. This week from the San Francisco Orchestra pianist Yuja Wang joins music director Michael Tilson Thomas for a performance of the Piano Concerto No. 1 in D-flat major by the precocious teenager Sergei Prokofiev. Debussy's evocative image for orchestra as well as several small romantic delicacies all composed to showcase the pallet of the orchestra including Fauré's Pavane, Schubert's Entr’acte No. 3, Dvořák's Legends for Orchestra, Grieg’s The Last Spring, and the Scherzo from Concerto symphonique No. 4 in D minor by Litolff.

Airs Monday, May 4, at 11 a.m. On this week's concert by the San Francisco Symphony, Music Director Michael Tilson Thomas leads the orchestra in the Pavane by Faure and the Symphony No. 3 in C Major, Op. 52 by Sibelius. He'll be joined by pianist Yuja Wang for a performance of the Piano Concerto No. 3 in D minor, Op. 30 by Rachmaninoff. To open the concert maestro Thomas will lead them in a Pavane by Faure and we'll also hear the Symphony No. 3 in C major, Op. 52 by Jean Sibelius.

Airs Saturday, August 18 at 2:00 p.m.  Join us for a new season of concerts from the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, celebrating its 40th season as one of the world’s leading performing arts festivals. Artistic director Marc Neikrug and broadcast host Kerry Frumkin will take you through 13 weeks of world class chamber performances. This week pianist Jeremy Denk is featured in Ligeti's Ėtude No. 6, Automne à Varsovie from book one of his Ėtudes for Piano. Then flutist Joshua Smith and clarinetist Todd Levy join Lily Francis, and L.P. How on violins, violist Cynthia Phelps, cellist Ronald Thomas and harpist Yolanda Kondonassis for Maurice Ravel's Introduction and Allegro. The program concludes with Fauré's Piano Quartet No. 1 in C Minor, Op. 15
with pianist Jeremy Denk joined by John Dalley, violin; Cynthia Phelps, viola; and Ronald Thomas, cello.
