Airs Monday, August 4 at 11 a.m. Pianist Emanuel Ax will be the solosit on this week's broadcast concert by the Pittsburgh Symphony. He will perform Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 25. Leonard Slatkin will conduct a program that also features B-Sides, new music by Mason Bates and Sergei Prokofiev’s Symphony No. 5.
Airs Monday, May 27 at 11 a.m. This week Nikolaj Znaider takes the podium and is joined by pianist Emanual Ax for Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 22 with Encores of Claude Debussy’s “Pagodes” from Estampes and Franz Schubert’s Impromptu in A flat, Op. 142, No. 2. The concert will also feature Richard Wagner’s “Prelude und Liebestod” from Tristan und Isolde and Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations.
