Airs Monday, October 16, 2017, at 1 p.m. The San Francisco Symphony continues its season of broadcast concerts this week with Michael Tilson Thomas leading the orchestra in the Symphony No. 1 in D major by C.P.E. Bach, the Symphony No. 1 in C minor by Brahms, and Apollo by Stravinsky. In the middle, pianist Yefim Bronfman will be featured in a new work by Jörg Widmann, his Trauermarsch for Piano and Orchestra.

Airs Monday, September 28, at 1 p.m. On this week's broadcast from the San Francisco Symphony, period performance specialist Ton Koopman leads the orchestra in a Bach delight featuring two generations of the Bach Family. We'll hear the Orchestral Suite No. 4 in D major and the Cantata No. 51, (Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen) by J.S. Bach, and then we'll hear the Symphony in G major by C.P.E. Bach along with the Cello Concerto No. 3 in A major by C. P. E. Bach.
