Airs Monday, January 6 at 11 a.m. On this week’s concert by the San Francisco Symphony, Charles Detoit takes the podium and will be joined by violinist Arabella Steinbacher for Tchaikovsky's Violin Concert in D Major, Op. 35. The orchestra itself serves as soloist in Bartok's Concerto for Orchestra. The concert opens with music by Igor Stravinsky and a performance of his Le Chant du rossignol. To fill out the hour, music director Michael Tilson Thomas leads the orchestra in A Parade by Lou Harrison.

Red River Radio is pleased to bring back the Cleveland Orchestra for another superb season of broadcast concerts from the orchestra's home at Severance Hall in Cleveland and from concerts performed around the country and the world.
