The weather in Alexandria, Lufkin, and El Dorado is causing ice to build up on our towers and antennae which has forced us to reduce power at this time. We will continue to operate at reduced power until the ice melts. This may cause poor reception in some areas.  So far KDAQ is not affected by icing but conditions may change overnight. We appreciate your patience during this period of severe weather.

East Texas earthquakes spur further study

Scientists in Texas say they'll take a closer look into why several quakes have struck East Texas this month, centered around the town of Timpson.

Power has been restored to our KBSA-FM transmitter in El Dorado.
ATT has restored internet service and our stream is back..

FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT  FOR PORTIONS OF ARKANSAS AND NORTHWEST LOUISIANA... INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING AREAS... IN ARKANSAS... COLUMBIA AND UNION AR.  IN NORTHWEST LOUISIANA... BOSSIER... CADDO... CLAIBORNE... DE SOTO AND WEBSTER.    LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS MAY EXPERIENCE RISING WATER THAT COULD POSE A THREAT TO MOTORISTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS. HEAVY RAIN OVER HILLY TERRAIN CAN PRODUCE RAPID WATER RUNOFF THAT WILL MOVE QUICKLY ACROSS LOW WATER CROSSINGS AND BRIDGES.
