FLOOD INSURANCE:  If you live in the Red River Radio listening area,  then you know that the National Flood Insurance program is vital to your area’s economy. The National Flood Insurance  Program expires  September 30th.  With that deadline in mind, lawmakers in Washington are focusing on getting it renewed.  And Louisiana  Senators are a  big part of that effort.  Senator John Kennedy serves on the Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs – the committee responsible for vetting this legislation.  Kennedy has crafted one of the flood insurance renewal bills and said the Committee  Chair—Idaho Senator Mike Crapo asked him for help.
