This episode of Jazz Night in America features interviews with the band on their personal connections with Henderson and we hear highlights from our first concert recorded at at new SFJazz Center. The current line-up of the SFJazz Collective features alto saxophonist Miguel Zenón, tenor saxophonist David Sánchez, vibraphonist Warren Wolf, trumpeter Avishai Cohen, trombonist Robin Eubanks, pianist Edward Simon, bassist Matt Penman and drummer Obed Calvaire.

Jackson -- himself a multi-hyphenate as percussion wizard, composer, and arranger – studied under Roach after meeting him at twelve.
