Election Night 2014 with NPR News and Kate Archer Kent

Airs Tuesday, November 4 at 7 p.m.  Control of the Senate is up for grabs in this midterm election and Red River Radio will bring you NPR election coverage Tuesday featuring local updates and analysis from political scientists in our region. We’ll hear from Jeffrey Sadow of LSU Shreveport, Greg Granger of Northwestern State, Paul Babbitt of Southern Arkansas University, and Ken Collier of Stephen F. Austin State.

NPR will provide detailed results and analysis from across the nation. NPR hosts will be Robert Siegel and Melissa Block. NPR's Senior Washington Correspondent Ron Elving, National Political Correspondent Mara Liasson, and Political Editor Charlie Mahtesian will join them in our our DC studio, along with EJ Dionne of the Brookings Institution and the Washington Post, and Ramesh Ponnuru of the National Review. NPR reporters and correspondents, including National Political Correspondent Don Gonyea, White House Correspondent Tamara Keith, and Congressional Reporter Ailsa Chang will be watching returns at a dozen campaign headquarters nationwide. Scott Horsley will be at the White House, monitoring President Obama's response to the evening's results. We'll also hear from NPR's Michel Martin in Georgia, and we'll talk with a number of newsmakers throughout the evening.NPR will be live-blogging election night on the NPR Politics Tumblr.
