ZIKA VIRUS CASE IN EAST TEXAS:  The Gregg County Health Department has confirmed that a person traveling outside the U.S. has contracted the Zika Virus and lives in Gregg County.  To date,  the mosquitos that have been trapped and tested in Gregg County have shown not to be infected with the Zika virus.  But health officials are urging people to take precautions by using insect repellant,  wearing long-sleeved clothing and removing any standing water in containers around their homes.  Persons interested in learning more about this virus are encouraged to go to the website TexasZika.org.
