Census Data Reveals Texas Cities Population Growth

TEXAS CITIES GROW - US Census Bureau released some population estimates recently and according to the numbers --- the U.S. cities and towns that saw the largest boost in population since 2010 are located in the South and West.   According to new data, three of the five cities in the country with the most population growth are in Texas. Amyl Toukabri is a demographer with the Census and  explains  that a new Texas  city  made it in the top 15.  “Ft Worth joined the group of the 15 most populous city, knocking  out Indianapolis."

had a population of more than 874-thousand people. Arkansas  has  two  of  the top 100  fastest-growing cities in the country. Rogers, Ark was the 33rd fastest-growing city at 18.7 percent, and Fayetteville  was  63rd at  15.9 percent.

LOSS and GAIN - US Census data reveals Shreveport lost just under 5% of population since 2010 whereas Bossier City gained 10%.

SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER NUMBERS - Census  Bureau’s  New  population estimates show that Shreveport, LA is losing residents  while Bossier City continues to grow.  Shreveport lost a little under 5% of its population whereas  Bossier  City  had  more  than a 10% gain in new residents.
