Dozens of business and civic leaders from the Shreveport-Bossier area attended a two-day workshop at Centenary College to conceive various scenarios that could play out in the region decades from now. Centenary College's Frost School of Business and the University of Oxford facilitated the exercise.

Natchitoches artist praised for wood creations

Artist Michael Yankowski's "Popcorn Bag Box" is made of carved mahogany and painted basswood.

Two wood sculptures by Northwestern State University art professor Michael Yankowski have received honorable mention in the Design in Wood Exhibition under way in Del Mar, Calif. His sculpture, "Spiritus," will be included in Art Melt, set for July 14 in Baton Rouge.
