LSU's College of Engineering Dean met with LSU Shreveport officials yesterday to work out a plan to offer two Flagship Campus baccalaureate degrees at LSUS in the fall: construction management and petroleum engineering.
A Shreveport science teacher is canoeing more than 370 miles to the Gulf of Mexico to raise awareness about Louisiana's watersheds. Jon Soul will give a presentation tonight titled "Bayou to Bay - Exploring Louisiana's Watersheds" at 6:30 p.m. at the Red River National Wildlife Refuge hosted by the Friends of the Refuge.

Saturday's first Earth Day Regatta will celebrate the opening of six paddling trails on the Texas side of Caddo Lake. Half of the trails begin in Uncertain, Texas. Registration begins at Caddo Lake State Park, and lunch will be served at Caddo Lake National Wildlife Refuge.
