Matt Henry, Executive Director of the Arts Council of Central Louisiana, has led arts advocacy and cultural development across an eight-parish region since 2003. A passionate leader and vocal performance graduate of The Ohio State University, Matt oversees major venues like the Coughlin-Saunders Performing Arts Center and champions the arts statewide through leadership roles in key cultural organizations.

Centenary College Choir in Concert
The internationally renowned Centenary College Choir will present a special concert at First United Methodist Church of Bossier City on Wednesday, January 7 at 7:00 PM.
Founded in 1941, the Centenary Choir has performed in more than 35 countries and at venues including Carnegie Hall, the White House, St. Peter’s Basilica, and the Sydney Opera House. The program features a wide-ranging repertoire—from sacred hymnody and spirituals to beloved choral classics and musical theater selections.
The concert also includes the continued premiere of Labor Omnia Vincit, a bicentennial anthem celebrating Centenary College’s 200th anniversary.
Free and open to the public. -
The North Louisiana Seed Preservation Program will host the second annual Statewide Seed Swap & Sale on Saturday, February 7th, 2026, at the Southern Forest Heritage Museum, just south of Forest Hill, Louisiana. Heirloom seeds from across the Gulf Region will be available for trade and purchase. Guest speaker will be Angela Joan, speaking about preserving heirloom mirlitons in South Louisiana. The event is free and open to the public. We may ask you to fill out a survey before you leave.
