An 18-year-old Shreveport software developer is launching a summer business program for teenage entrepreneurs who want to learn how to start and grow a business.
Justin Martin says he’ll pair each student with a mentor who will assist the teens as they progress through various stages of business development. Martin says this new program, called the 20/20 Challenge, is to get teens to act on ideas that have been percolating in their head.
Twenty teens from military families across Louisiana participated in a new leadership camp expressly for teenagers, put on by the LSU AgCenter's 4-H Youth Development program. Half of the teens came from central Louisiana. One activity involved making videos aimed at raising public awareness of military kids.
