Airs Monday, August 5 at 11 a.m. This week on the Pittsburgh Symphony maestro Manfred Honeck will be joined on stage by violinist Joshua Bell for a performance of the Violin Concerto by Johannes Brahms. Mr. Honeck will also lead the orchestra in three works by  Richard Strauss, his tone poem Don Juan, Death and Transfiguration, and Till Eulenspiegel’s Merry Pranks.

Airs Monday, April 22 at 11 a.m. This week Manfred Honeck leads the orchestra in Nicolai’s Overture to The Merry Wives of Windsor, Johann Strauss Jr.’s Artist’s Life Waltz, Pablo de Sarasate’s Gypsy Airs for Violin and Orchestra, Fritz Kreisler’s Love’s Joy for Violin and Orchestra, Josef Strauss’ Cheerful Fortitude Polka;  On Holiday Polka; Feuerfest Polka; and Johann Strauss Jr.’s Radetzky March and Light of Heart Polka.  Leif Ove Andsnes will also join maestro Honeck for Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1.

The Cleveland Orchestra Live

Airs Saturday, August 18 at 12:00 noon. Red River Radio is pleased to bring back the Cleveland Orchestra for another superb season of broadcast concerts from the orchestra's home at Severance Hall in Cleveland and from concerts performed around the country and the world. On this week's concert Fabio Luisi will lead the orchestra in conductor Richard Strauss' Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks, Opus 28  and Strauss'  Aus Italien, Opus 16. In between pianist Jonathan Biss joines maestro Luisi and Orchestra for Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 17 in G major, K. 453.
