Airs Monday, June 13, at 1 p.m. On this week's concert from the Cleveland Orchestra conductor laureate Christoph von Dohnányi takes the podium for a concert “The Bartered Bride” Overture by Smetana and Schubert's Symphony No. 9 in C major, "the Great." In the middle, Franz Welser-Möst will be joined by violist Robert Vernon in the Rhapsody for Viola and Orchestra by Sortomme.

Airs Monday, July 7 at 11 a.m. This week on our broadcast concert by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra Michael Francis will lead the orchestra in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Symphony No. 40 and Bedrich Smetena’s “Sarka,” No. 3 from Ma vlast. Violinist Christian Tetzlaff will join the orchestra for Antonin Dvorak’s Violin Concerto followed by Johann Sebastian Bach’s Partita No. 3 in E Major and the largo from Bach’s Sonata No. 3 in C Major, BWV 1005. We'll also hear Leos Janaceck’s Taras Bulba.

Red River Radio is pleased to bring back the Cleveland Orchestra for another superb season of broadcast concerts from the orchestra's home at Severance Hall in Cleveland and from concerts performed around the country and the world. On this week's concert Franz Welser-Möst is joined by violinist Julian Rachlin for the Brahms Violin Concerto in D major, Opus 77. Then the Maestro will lead the orchestra in Smetana's Four Movements from “Ma Vlast”.
