This week The Lyric Opera of Chicago presents Mozart's Don Giovanni starring Mariusz Kwiecień as Don Giovanni, with Kyle Ketelsen as Leporello; Marina Rebeka as Donna Anna; Ana María Martínez as Donna Elvira; Antonio Poli as Don Ottavio; Andriana Chuchman as Zerlina; and Michael Sumuel as Masetto. Robert Falls directs, Michael Black is our chorus master and the Lyric Opera Orchestra and Chorus are undr the direction of Sir Andrew Davis.

Airs Saturday, June 3, 2017, at 12 noon. The Lyric Opera of Chicago continues this week with a performance of Les Troyens by Hector Berlioz starring Christine Goerke as Cassandre; Susan Graham as Didon; Brandon Jovanovich as Énée; Lucas Meachem as Chorèbe; Christian Van Horn as Narbal; and Okka von der Damerau as Anna. The director is Tim Albery, the chorus master is Michael Black, and the Lyric Opera Orchestra and Chorus are conducted by Sir Andrew Davis.

Airs Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 12 noon. The Lyric Opera of Chicago return again for another season with an opening performance of Das Rheingold by Richard Wagner, Eric Owens will take the role of Wotan with Samuel Youn as Alberich; Štefan Margita as Loge; Tanja Ariane Baumgartner as Fricka; Wilhelm Schwinghammer as Fasolt; Tobias Kehrer as Fafner; and Okka von der Damerau as Erda. The stage director is David Pountney and Sir Andrew Davis conducts the Lyric Opera Orchestra and Chorus in Das Rheingold.

Airs Saturday, July 9, at 12 noon. In our final season performance from the Lyric Opera of Chicago we'll hear Antonin Dvorák's Rusalka staring Ana María Martínez in the title role and Brandon Jovanovich as the Prince, with Jill Grove as Jezibaba, Eric Owens as Vodnik, and Ekaterina Gubanova as Foreign Princess. Sir David McVicar directs, Michael Black is our chorus master and Sir Andrew Davis leads the Lyric OperaOrchestr and Chorus in this performance.
