From October 13 through November 12. Red River Radio is excited to partner with StoryCorps as we host their visit to the Shreveport-Bossier City area starting October 12.  They will park their mobile Airstream recording studio for an entire month at the Broadmoor branch of the Shreve Memorial Library, recording stories from our region for posterity.  StoryCorps is creating an invaluable archive for future generations by preserving and sharing humanity’s stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world.  It’s a reminder of our shared humanity, strengthening and building the connections between people, teaching the value of listening, and weaving into the fabric of our culture the understanding that everyone’s story matters.  Information about reserving interview/recording time will be coming soon.

Reservations are available and can be made by calling StoryCorps’ 24-hour toll-free reservation line at 1-800-850-4406 or visiting storycorps.org. Additional appointments will be made available on October 13.  Try to call as early as you can on the 28th, but if you miss getting an appointment, try again on October 13.  Also, you will need to decide who will be interviewed and who will do the interviewing (a family member or friend).
