NPR News: The Presidential Debates

Airs Monday, October 22 at 8:00 p.m. Red River Radio and NPR News will provide live coverage of the the third Presidential Debate which will address the foreign policy issues facing the nation. Bob Schieffer, Chief Washington Correspondent for CBS News and Host of Face the Nation will be the moderator for this debate, which will be broadcast live from Lynn University in Boca Raton, FL.  Following the debates we'll hear analysis from NPR Senior Washington editor Ron Elving, our political analysts E.J. Dionne and Matt Continetti, and several NPR policy reporters who will be standing by in our studio. We'll also hear insights from our traveling campaign reporters and a national political correspondents who will join us from the debate sites.

Candy Crowley, Chief Political Correspondent for CNN and Anchor of CNN's State of the Union will be the moderator for this debate which will be broadcast live from Hofstra University in Hempstead, NY. Following the debates we'll hear analysis from NPR Senior Washington editor Ron Elving, our political analysts E.J. Dionne and Matt Continetti, and several NPR policy reporters who will be standing by in our studio. We'll also hear insights from our traveling campaign reporters and a national political correspondents who will join us from the debate sites.

Martha Raddatz, Senior Foreign Affairs Correspondent for ABC News will be the moderator for this debate which will be broadcast live from Centre College in Danville, KY. Following the debates we'll hear analysis from NPR Senior Washington editor Ron Elving, our political analysts E.J. Dionne and Matt Continetti, and several NPR policy reporters who will be standing by in our studio. We'll also hear insights from our traveling campaign reporters and a national political correspondents who will join us from the debate sites.

Airs Wednesday, October 3 at 8:00 p.m.  Red River Radio and NPR News will provide live coverage of the  first Presidential Debate which will address domestic policy issues facing the nation. Jim Lehrer, Executive Editor of the PBS NewsHour will be the moderator for this debate, which will be broadcast live from the University of Denver.  Topics to be address include the economy, healthcare, The Role of Government, and Governing. These topics are subject to change.

Archie McDonald Speaker Series: James A. Baker III

Airs Monday, September 10 at 8:00 p.m.   Archie McDonald passed away Aug. 16 from illness and we were deeply saddened by the loss of this long time friend and contributor to Red River Radio, SFA University, the world of History scholarship, and all our communities to which he contributed tirelessly. At SFA University they honored him in many ways including creating an annual speakers series in his name. He was the host for these informative programs. In April of this year he had the privilege to speak with the Honorable James A. Baker, III.  We offer a repeat broadcast of this special now to honor his memory, friendship, love of community, and his dedicated support of education and citizenship over the course of his life.
