Airs Monday, January 29, 2018, at 1 p.m. This week on the Cleveland Orchestra Franz Welser-Möst is joined by violinist Nikolaj Znaider for a performance of the Nielsen Violin Concerto and then the Maestro Welser-Möst will lead the orchestra in the work that Sibelius referred to as a "confession of the soul," the beautiful Symphony No. 2 by Sibelius.

Airs Monday, October 27 at 11 a.m. This week on the Pittsburgh Symphony Radio broadcast, Concertmaster Noah Bendix Balgley performs the Bruch Scottish Fantasy.  Plus, Nikolaj Znaider conducts Schumann’s Symphony No. 4 and the Hebrides Overture by Mendelssohn. Jim Cunningham will host this Pittsburgh Symphony Radio broadcast.

Airs Monday, May 27 at 11 a.m. This week Nikolaj Znaider takes the podium and is joined by pianist Emanual Ax for Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 22  with Encores of Claude Debussy’s “Pagodes” from Estampes  and Franz Schubert’s Impromptu in A flat, Op. 142, No. 2. The concert will also feature Richard Wagner’s “Prelude und Liebestod” from Tristan und Isolde and Edward Elgar’s Enigma Variations.
