Airs Friday, May 9 at 9 p.m. This week on the Caravan we'll hear new music from Myshkin's Ruby Warbler and Mia Dyson as well as some vintage cuts from Neil Young, Victoria Williams, Muriel Anderson, The Pines and Kris Delmhorst. On Blues at the Bottom we'll feature Buddy Flett, Etta Baker, Bobby Rush, and Chris Belleau. In our concert hour this week we'll hear Part 2 of a concert by Chris Smither, recorded Live at the Fur Peace Ranch and in the third hour we'll be Chasing the Westing Sun.
Airs Friday, May 2 at 9 p.m. This week on the Caravan we'll feature a couple of classic tune from Lyle Lovett and Joe Ely plus music from Victoria Williams, Jerry Alfred & The Medicine Beat, and a beautiful blues jam from the Allman Brothers. Then in our concert hour we welcome Shreveport's own A Fine Romance into our studio for some music and conversation and this week in our final hour we'll travel Imaginary Roads.
Airs Friday, March 7 at 9 p.m. This week on the Caravan we feature a couple of cool songs from the movie "A Love song For Bobby Long" and we'll catch some Angels Falling with Neil Young. Twang Darkly will take us delving and we'll follow The Neville Brothers down a long dark road and Warren Wilken will bring us on home. In our second hour we'll have a concert by Pierce Pettis recording at the Second Street Bakery and tonight in our final hour we'll visit with "A Natural Man."
Airs Friday, October 4 at 9 p.m. This week on the Caravan we'll listen to new songs from Simone Dinnerstein with Tift Merritt and Sweet Honey in the Rock plus some classic cuts by John Trudell, Norah Jones and King Curtis. For Blues at the Bottom we'll flash back to Robert Johnson and we'll hear from Neil Young. Then, in our concert Hour we'll join Chitravina Ravikiran and Rajeev Taranath for a raga recorded live at the India Nights Concert 2013 and in our final hour join us as we visit with The Bricklayer's Beautiful Daughter.
Airs Friday, August 9 at 9 p.m. This week on the Caravan we feature an Americana flavor with new tracks from 3 Penny Acre, the Honey Dewdrops, and Rick Adams and some classic tracks from the Steve Gillette & Cindy Mangsen, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and Neil Young. We'll have a concert set with John Wakefield & John Jordan and and a full blues concert with Buddy Flett and Josh Hyde.
