Airs Saturday, March 21, at 12 noon. The 2014-15 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Massenet’s tragic romance Manon. It stars soprano Diana Damrau and tenor Vittorio Grigolo, who have made their Met role debuts as the title character and her devoted lover, the Chevalier des Grieux. Emmanuel Villaume conducts the performance, also featuring Russell Braun as Manon’s cousin, Lescaut, and Nicolas Testé as the Chevalier’s father, the Comte des Grieux.  Manon will be heard live over the Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network at 12:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, March 21.

Airs Saturday, July 19 at 12 noon. Legendary soprano Renata Scotto recalls her life and career in a special two hour feature co-produced by the WFMT Radio Network and Radio New Zealand Concert, and hosted by celebrated baritone Thomas Hampson.

Airs Saturday, March 15 at 12 noon. The 2013-14 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of the tragic romance Werther, starring tenor Jonas Kaufmann in the title role of the tortured poet. Alain Altinoglu leads a cast that includes French mezzo-soprano Sophie Koch in her network broadcast debut as Charlotte, the object of Werther’s impossible love; Lisette Oropesa as Sophie; Serbian bass-baritone David Bižić in his network broadcast debut as Albert; and Jonathan Summers as the Bailiff.  Werther will be heard live over the Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network.

Airs Saturday, May 25 at 12 noon. Jules Massenet's Werther (in French) features Matthew Polenzani as Werther; Sophie Koch as Charlotte; Kiri Deonarine as Sophie; Craig Verm as Albert; and Philip Kraus as Bailiff. Sir Andrew Davis conducts and Francisco Negrin directs this production.

Airs Saturday, April 7 at 12:00 noon.  The 2011-12 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Massenet’s Manon. Anna Netrebko sings her first Met performances of the title role, with Piotr Beczala in his role debut as Manon’s lover, the Chevalier des Grieux, and Paulo Szot as her cousin, Lescaut. Met Principal Conductor Fabio Luisi leads the performance of Laurent Pelly’s striking new production, which opened March 26.  Manon will be heard live over the Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 7. The performance will also be transmitted worldwide as part of The Met: Live in HD series, which is now seen in more than 1,700 movie theaters in 54 countries.
