Join us this Saturday at noon for the next production from the Lyric Opera of Chicago as they present Dvořák's Rusalka featuring Ana María Martínez in the title roll with Brandon Jovanovich as the Prince, Jill Grove as Jezibaba, Ekaterina Gubanova as the Foreign Princess, and Eric Owens as Vodnik. Sir Andrew Davis will lead the Lyric Opera Chors and Orchestra in the production directed by Sir David McVicar.

Pinkerton and Maryann McCormick as Suzuki with Christopher Purves as Sharpless, Patricia Racette as Cio-Cio-San and Richard Ollarsaba as the Imperial Commissioner. This performance also features Will Liverman as the Official Registrar, David Govertsen as The Bonze, Anthony Clark Evans as Prince Yamadori, Laura Wilde as Kate Pinkerton and Tye Pauley as Butterfly’s child Sorrow.
Airs Saturday, July 20 at 12 noon. This week on the Lyric Opera of Chicago, we will rebroadcast A Streetcar Named Desire. The original broadcast suffered a technical impairment. This is an unusual and non-traditional production of André Previn's operatic adaptation of the Tennessee Williams' play A Streetcar Named Desire. Staring in this production are Renee Fleming as Blance DuBois and Teddy Tahu Rhodes as Stanley Kowalski with Susannah Philips as Stella Kowalski and Anthony Dean Griffey as Harold “Mitch” Mitchell. The cast and crew are directed by Brad Dalton and the Lyric Opera Orchestra is conducted by Evan Rogister.
