Airs Monday, February 4 at 11 a.m. The final episode in the series from this year's Lucerne Festival features the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, the Bavarian Radio Choir and Swedish Radio Choir all under the direction of Claudio Abbado with soprano Juliane Banse, soprano Anna Prohska, alto Sara Mingardo, tenor Maximilian Schmitt, bass Rene Pape and Bruno Ganz as the narrator in Beethoven's Incidental music to Goethe's tragedy Egmont, and Mozart's Requiem in D minor.

Airs Monday, January 14 at 11:00 a.m.  Red River Radio is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for you to share world-class performances from this year's Lucerne Festival.  The award-winning production team from WQXR in New York was on the ground in Switzerland in to produce these four concert broadcasts. On this program we'll hear the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Bavarian Radio Choir and the Swedish Radio Choir all under Daniel Harding with soprano Mari Eriksmoen, alto Bernarda Fink, tenor Andrew Staples, and bass Franz-Josef Selig, in Franz Schubert's Gesang der Geister über den Wassern (Song of the Spirits over the Waters), Robert Schumann's Nachtlied (Night Song), and Franz Schubert's Mass in E-flat major.
