Kisatchie National Forest

Kisatchie National Forest in Louisiana has a new map that will make the 604,000 acre forest more navigable for visitors.

The LSU Ag Center says the Christmas tree growing business is nearly recession proof, and there still may be room for a few more growers. Louisiana currently has 52 growers.

A New Orleans nonpartisan research group is hosting the state's first ever policy orientation for lawmakers, Dec. 12.

The fourth program in the series on "Higher Education's Role" aired on November 16th at 6:00 p.m. Guests for the program were Dr. Paul Sisson, Provost and Vice Chancellor, LSUS; Christianne Wojcik, Director of Academic Services, LSUS;  Janice Sneed, Vice Chancellor of Community and Workforce Development, Southern University Shreveport;  Saundra Bigham, Coordinator of Dual Enrollment for Southern University Shreveport.

Louisiana Public Broadcasting collaborated with Red River Radio for a town hall discussion on Thursday, October 20th, 7 p.m. at LSUS.  Local and state experts explored the drop-out crisis and answered questions the audience.  The town hall meeting aired on Red River Radio on October 31.
