Airs Saturday, April 2, at 12 noon. The 2015-16 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, starring soprano Kristine Opolais, one of today’s most acclaimed interpreters of the tragic heroine Cio-Cio-San, opposite tenor Roberto Alagna as the faithless Pinkerton. Karel Mark Chichon makes his company debut this season conducting a cast that also features Maria Zifchak as Cio-Cio-San’s maid Suzuki and Dwayne Croft as the American consul Sharpless.

Airs Saturday, March 6, at 12 noon. The 2015-16 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Manon Lescaut, the opera that was Giacomo Puccini’s breakthrough hit. The performance stars soprano Kristine Opolais as the impetuous title character, opposite tenor Roberto Alagna, who is making his role debut this season as Manon’s lover, Des Grieux.

Airs Saturday, January 24, at 12 noon.  The 2014-15 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Puccini's La Bohème, the most-performed opera in Met history. This story of love and loss, set among artists living the Bohemian life in Paris, features an international cast: Latvian sopranos Kristine Opolais as Mimì and Marina Rebeka as Musetta; French tenor Jean-François Borras as Rodolfo; Polish baritone Mariusz Kwiecien as Marcello; Italian baritone Alessio Arduini as Schaunard; and English bass David Soar as Colline. Riccardo Frizza conducts. La Bohème will be heard live over the Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network at 12:00 p.m. CT on Saturday, January 24

Airs Saturday, January 26 at 12 noon.  The 2012-13 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Puccini’s La Rondine. Latvian soprano Kristine Opolais makes her network debut in the role of the heroine Magda, a courtesan who dreams of true love.  Tenor Giuseppe Filianoti is Ruggero, the man for whom she leaves her glamorous life.  Soprano Anna Christy sings the role of Lisette, Magda’s maid; tenor Marius Brenciu is the poet Prunier; and baritone Dwayne Croft is Rambaldo, Magda’s wealthy protector.  Ion Marin conducts the performance. La Rondine will be heard live over the Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network at 12 p.m. CT on Saturday, January 26.
