Airs Friday, June 21 at 9 p.m. This week on the Caravan we'll hear new music from Ben Folds Five, The Pastels, Terra Naomi, and Cloud Control plus tunes from Allison Crowe, John Melloncamp, Nick Brumley and Buddy Flett. For our second hour we'll sit down with Alexandra McCullough and talk about her upcoming debut CD and she'll share a few tunes with us. We'll also hear First Aid Kit live in a Tiny Desk Concert from NPR ... and on our final hour we'll walk about in Shoes by Dr. Zeuss.
Airs Friday, June 7 at 9 p.m. This week on the Caravan we'll walk about a bit, going to New Orleans from some new tracks from Maggie Koerner's latest CD as well as new music from the Carolina Chocolate Drops. We'll also hear from Red Bird, the Eric Underwood Band, and First Aid Kit with Blues by Charlie Musselwhite, AJ & the Two Tone Blues Band, and J. Edwards. We'll travel to India with Chitravina N. Ravikiran and to Mali with Ali Farke Toure. On the concert hour, the Punch Brothers live and on Be Quite and Play the Music we continue our travels on Wooden Ships.

This week on the Caravan we’ll feature a lot of new tracks from bands like Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, and Black Prairie, the Alabama Shakes and the Be Good Tanyas as well as some new blues from Dr. John, Mavis Staples and Shreveport’s own Professor Porkchop and the dishes. Airs Friday, January 18 at 9 p.m. Coming up on the next edition of the Caravan we’ll hear some new music from the Swedish Folk Duo First Aid Kit, a classic track from Victoria Williams' first solo release, some Native America music from R. Carlos Nakai and a taste of India as well. We’ll also hear some phenomenal blues from Chris Smither and Buddy Guy and we’ll feature a live concert from the SXSW festival featuring Andrew Bird.
