This production also features Nathan Milholin as the Servant, Mithra Mastropierro as the Lady-in-waiting, Derrell Acon as Assassin, Hunter Enoch as Herald, Nathan Milholin as the Doctor, and Rhys Lloyd Talbot, Vanessa Becerra, and Jasmine Habersham as Apparitions.

Airs Saturday, July 4, at 12 noon. On this week's broadcast from the Lyric Opera of Chicago we present George Gershwin’s classic Porgy & Bess featuring Eric Owens as Porgy and Adina Aaron as Bess with Hlengiwe Mkhwanazi as Clara; Chase Taylor as Mingo; Jermaine Smith as Sportin’ Life; Norman Garrett as Jake; Karen Slack as Serena; Bernard Holcomb as Robbins; Earl Hazell as Jim; Curtis Bannister as Peter; Veronica Chapman-Smith as Lily; and Gwendolyn Brown as Maria. Ward Stare will lead the Lyric Opera Orchestra and Chorus and Michael Black is our chorus master. Suzanne Nance will host.

Airs Saturday, June 28 at 12 noon.  Join us this Saturday at noon for the next production from the Lyric Opera of Chicago as they present Dvořák's Rusalka featuring Ana María Martínez in the title roll with Brandon Jovanovich as the Prince, Jill Grove as Jezibaba, Ekaterina Gubanova as the Foreign Princess, and Eric Owens as Vodnik.  Sir Andrew Davis will lead the Lyric Opera Chors and Orchestra in the production directed by Sir David McVicar.

Airs Saturday, January 4 at 12 noon The 2013-14 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of the company’s holiday presentation, an abridged, English-language production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute. British conductor Jane Glover has made her Met debut this season leading this 100-minute presentation of Julie Taymor’s popular staging of the opera. The performance stars tenor Alek Shrader as Tamino; soprano Heidi Stober as Pamina; baritone Nathan Gunn as the bird-catcher Papageno, and bass-baritone Eric Owens as the mysterious Sarastro. American soprano Kathryn Lewek makes her network broadcast debut as the Queen of the Night. The Magic Flute will be heard live over the Toll Brothers-Metropolitan Opera International Radio Network.

Airs Saturday, April 6 at 12 noon. The 2012-13 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Richard Wagner’s Das Rheingold, led by Met Principal Conductor Fabio Luisi. Luisi will lead three complete cycles of Wagner’s epic Der Ring des Nibelungen at the Met this season in honor of the composer’s bicentennial, with each of the four operas receiving a worldwide radio broadcast. Das Rheingold, the first opera in the cycle, will feature company role debuts by Mark Delavan as Wotan and Meredith Arwady as Erda. Eric Owens (Alberich), Stephanie Blythe (Fricka), Stefan Margita (Loge), Hans-Peter König (Fafner), Franz-Josef Selig (Fasolt), Gerhard Siegel (Mime), and Wendy Bryn Harmer (Freia) reprise their acclaimed portrayals from previous Ring cycles at the Met.
