Cleveland Orchestra

Airs Monday, May 9, at 1 p.m. On this week's concert from the Cleveland Orchestra Giancarlo Guerrero will take the podium as the orchestra performs from Miami with guest cellist Johannes Moser who will present the Cello Concerto No. 1 in E-flat, Op. 107 by Shostakovich.  The concert opens with the Symphony No. 2, “Sinfonia India” by Chavez and concludes with Camille Saint-Saens' Organ Symphony, his Symphony No. 3.

Airs Monday, April 18, at 1 p.m. This week from the Cleveland Orchestra Archives we hear a classic performance featuring the late Lorin Maazel in 1973 leading the orchestra in the complete score to the ballet Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev

Airs Monday, March 28, at 1 p.m. This week on the Cleveland Orchestra broadcast concert conductor Fabio Luisi will take the podium and will be joined by pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet for the Piano Concerto No. 2 by Franz Liszt. The program opens with Cobalt, Scarlet: Two Colors of Dawn by Francesconi and will conclude with a performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 7, Op. 92.

Airs Monday, March 21, at 1 p.m. This week Franz Welser-Möst leads the Cleveland Orchestra in the Symphony No. 6 by Beethoven, his "Pastoral" symphony as well as the Symphonia domestica by Richard Strauss. 

Airs Monday, March 14, at 1 p.m. From Knight Concert Hall in Miami Giancarlo Guerrero will take the podium and lead the orchestra in the Chichester Psalms by Leonard Bernstein and Carl Orff's Carmina Burana featuring soprano Nadine Sierra, countertenor Anthony Roth Costanzo, and baritone Stephen Powell along with the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus.
