The acclaimed composer, musician, performer, and professor Elbio Barilari is the host and creative force behind this series. He invites listeners to enjoy and learn about the lively and compelling sounds of Latin American classical music. On this weeks program we'll hear Five centuries of Latin American orchestral music, from the Baroque period to the present day. A fiesta of sounds from Cuba, Paraguay, Uruguay and Mexico. Alejandro Garcia Caturla's Tres Danzas Cubanas; Domenico Zipoli's Elevazione; Jaurés Lamarque-Pons' Three movements from Concierto de Inviernio for Guitar and Orchestra; Arturo Marquez's Danzon Numero Cuatro.

Artistic director Marc Neikrug and broadcast host Kerry Frumkin will take you through 13 weeks of world class chamber performances. This week's concert Violinists John Dalley & Lily Francis join Violist Cynthia Phelps for Dvorak's Terzetto in C Major, Op. 74. Then the Johannes String Quartet are joned by pianist Inon Barnaton for Robert Schumann's Piano Quartet in E-Flat Major, Op. 47.

Red River Radio is pleased to bring back the Cleveland Orchestra for another superb season of broadcast concerts from the orchestra's home at Severance Hall in Cleveland and from concerts performed around the country and the world. On this week's concert Maestra Franz Welser-Möst is joined by pianist Yefim Bronfman for the Piano Concerto No. 1 in D minor, Opus 15 of Brahms. The concert opens with Saariaho's Laterna Magica and also features Mozart's Symphony No. 39 in E-flat major, K. 543.
