Airs Monday, March 17 at 11 a.m. On the final concert from the San Francisco Symphony this season, violinist Alexander Barantschik takes the podium to lead the orchestra in three of J.S. Bach's Brandenburg Concerti; his concerto No. 1 in F, the concerto No. 4 in G, and the concerto No. 5 in D. The concert will also feature Handel's Water Music Suite No. 2 in D and Beethoven's Symphony No. 4.

The program includes Bruckner’s magnificent and genial Sixth Symphony and Mozart’s Symphony No. 28, paired with Johannes Maria Staud’s On Comparative Meteorology.

Airs Monday, January 27 at 11 a.m. This week on the San Francisco Symphony music director Michael Tilson Thomas retuns to lead the orchestra in Blumine by Gustav Mahler and the Symphony No. 6 in F major by Beethoven, his "Pastoral Symphony." Violinist  Alexander Barantschik will also be featured as guest soloist in the Violin Concerto No. 4 by Schnittke.
