Featured on the concert are Rossini’s William Tell Overture and the first of Haydn’s 12 London Symphonies – his No. 93. We'll close the show wit Richard Strauss’ Ein Heldenleben. Jim Cunningham will host the Pittsburgh Symphony Radio on Red River Radio.

Airs Monday, June 9 at 11 a.m.  On this week's broadcast concert by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra maestra Lorin Maazel will lead the orchestra in the Symphony No. 7 by Antonin Dvorak and the Cello Concerto No. 2 by Dmitri Shostakovich with Enrico Dindo as the soloist. Mr. Dindo will also perform the Allemande from Johann Sebastian Bach’s Cello Suite No. 6 in D Major (BWV 1012) and the Sarabande from Johann Sebastian Bach’s Cello Suite No. 1 in G Major (BWV 1007).

Airs Monday, April 28 at 11 a.m.  Mariss Jansons takes the podium for the next concert by the Pittsburgh symphony and will be joined by soprano Alessandra Marc, mezzo-soprano Elena Zaremba, tenor Rafael Rojas, bass Dimitri Kavrakos and the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh for Giuseppe Verdi’s Ave Maria and Verdi's Requiem. Also on the concert Verdi's String Quartet in E minor.
