Airs Saturday, July 9, at 12 noon. In our final season performance from the Lyric Opera of Chicago we'll hear Antonin Dvorák's Rusalka staring Ana María Martínez in the title role and Brandon Jovanovich as the Prince, with Jill Grove as Jezibaba, Eric Owens as Vodnik, and Ekaterina Gubanova as Foreign Princess. Sir David McVicar directs, Michael Black is our chorus master and Sir Andrew Davis leads the Lyric OperaOrchestr and Chorus in this performance.

Air Saturday, September 19, at 12 noon This week from the San Francisco Opera Michael Cavanagh directs and Karen Kamensek conducts a production of Carlisle Floyd's Susannah starring Patricia Racette in the title role and Brandon Jovanovich as Sam Polk, Raymond Aceto as Rev. Olin Blitch, and Catherine Cook as Mrs. McLean, with James Kryshak in the roll of Little Bat McLean along with Jacqueline Piccolino as Mrs. Hayes, Erin Johnson as Mrs. Gleaton, Suzanne Hendrix as Mrs. Ott, Joel Sorensen in the role of  Elder Hayes,  A.J.

Winnie Klotz / Metropolitan Opera

Airs Saturday, April 18, at 12 noon. The 2014-15 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with Shostakovich’s searing drama Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk, heard in an archived performance from November. Eva-Maria Westbroek starred as the adulterous and murderous Katerina Ismailova, a role she has sung to acclaim at leading houses around the world. James Conlon conducted the performance, which also starred Brandon Jovanovich as Katerina’s lover, Sergei, and Anatoli Kotscherga as her brutal father-in-law, Boris.

LA Opera

Airs Saturday, August 2 at 12 noon. This week the LA Opera presents the sultry, love fueled opera Carmen by George Bizet featuring Patricia Bardon as Carmen, with Brandon Jovanovich as Don José, Pretty Yende as Micaëla, Ildebrando D’Arcangelo as Escamillo, with Valentin Anikin as Zuniga, Daniel Armstrong in the role of Moralès, Hae Ji Chang as Frasquita, and Cassandra Zoé Velasco as Mercédès. Plácido Domingo leads the LA Opera Orchestra and Chorus in this production.
