Airs Thursday, September 21, 2017, at 1 p.m. This week at The BBC Proms we feature the Vienna Philharmonic under the direction of Michael Tilson Thomas with pianist Emanuel Ax in a concert that opens with the Variations on the St. Anthony Chorale by Brahms and closes with Beethoven's Symphony No. 7. In between, pianist Pianist Emanuel Ax is featured in Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 14.

Airs Thursday, September 14, 2017, at 1 p.m. This week at The BBC Proms we feature Vasily Petrenko conducting the the Oslo Philharmonic with pianist Leif Ove Andsnes in the The Firebird Suite by Stranvisnky, Rachmaninoff's Piano Concert No. 4, and the Symphony No. 12, “The Year 1917” by Shostakovich.

Airs Thursday, September 7, 2017, at 1 p.m. This week at The BBC Proms we feature the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra with violinist Joshua Bell, mezzo-soprano Stephanie d’Oustrac, and organist Cameron Carpenter, all under the direction of Charles Dutoit. The concert opens with El amor brujo by Manuel de Falla, the Symphonie espagnole by Lalo, and Saint-Saens' Symphony No. 3, “Organ.”

Airs Thursday, August 24, 2017, at 1 p.m. This week at the BBC Proms, the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen will be lead by Paavo Jarvi, with guest soloists Vilde Frang, violin and Lawrence Power, viola, in the Sinfonia concertante by Mozart's along with Erkki-Sven Tuur's Flamma and the Symphony No. 2 by Johannes Brahms.

Airs Thursday, August 17, 2017, at 1 p.m. This week at The BBC Proms, conductor Mark Wigglesworth will be joined by pianist Stephen Hough for the Piano Concerto No. 1 by Brahms in a program that also features Haydn's Symphony No. 99, and The Greatest Happiness Principle, music by David Sawyer.
