Registrations are streaming in for the first ever Louisiana Film Prize. The contest got under way this month. The winner will receive $50,000. The one contest rule is that the short film must be shot in Shreveport-Bossier.
The Museum of East Texas sets to life its exhibit, "A Forest Insect Alphabet" in a combined program involving a printmaker, entomologist and folk singer. The program "art-science-music" is Sunday at 2 p.m. The exhibit runs through Sept. 4. Dan Maxwell reports.
Nearly 200 preserved body parts and full body specimens are on display in the Bodies Revealed exhibit opening at Sci-Port: Louisiana's Science Center in Shreveport. It runs through May 21.
