The American Opera Series from WFMT continues with a concert performance by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra of Giuseppe Verdi's Falstaff starring Ambrogio Maestri as Sir John Falstaff; Eleonora Buratto as Alice Ford; Luca Salsi as Ford; Rosa Feola as Nannetta and Daniela Barcellona as Mistress Quickly. Daniela Barcellona, Laura Polverelli, Anicio Zorzi Giustiniani, Luca Dall'Amico, and Saverio Fiore fill out the cast.

Airs Saturday, March 12, at 12 noon. The 2015-16  Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season continues with a live broadcast of Donizetti’s comedic masterpiece Don Pasquale. Baritone Ambrogio Maestri sings the title role for the first time in his career this season, alongside show-stopping tenor Javier Camarena as Pasquale’s nephew, the lovelorn Ernesto. Italian soprano Eleonora Buratto, fresh off her Met debut, is the bewitching Norina, and baritone Levente Molnár is the wily Doctor Malatesta, in a performance conducted by Maurizio Benini.

Airs Saturday, December 14 at 12 noon. The 2013-14 Metropolitan Opera Radio Broadcast season will continue with a live broadcast of Verdi’s Falstaff, conducted by Met Music Director James Levine. Baritone Ambrogio Maestri, who has sung the title role at major opera houses around the world, stars in his first Met performances as Sir John Falstaff.
