Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival

Airs Saturday, October 12 at 2 p.m. This week on the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival we present a Selection of Caprices for Solo Violin, Op. 1 by Niccolò Paganini; the world premiere of Snow and Snow for Clarinet, Viola & Piano by Helen Grime; the Piano Quintet in F-sharp Minor, Op. 67 by Amy Beach featuring pianist Anne-Marie McDermott and the Orion String Quartet; and George Gershwin's I Got Rhythm with pianist Kirill Gerstein.

Savannah Music Festival: Russell Moore & III Tyme Out

Airs Thursday, October 10 at 8 p.m. When immigrants from Great Britain and Ireland arrived in the Appalachian region of the United States in the 18th century, they brought with them the musical traditions of their homelands. These traditions were extended, refined and combined into a variety of American roots music styles, including a distinct musical form called bluegrass. In this episode, we listen to one of the finest bluegrass ensembles in our time, Russell Moore & IIIrd Tyme Out.
