Then maestro Blomstedt will lead the orchestra in the Symphony No. 5 by Tchaikovsky and the Symphony No. 3 by Sibelius.

Also on the concert, Hindemith's Trauermusik; Mozart's Symphony No. 40 in G minor, K. 550; and Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings, Op. 48.

Airs Monday, November 25 at 11 a.m. This week on the San Francisco Symphony broadcast Pablo Heras-Casado will lead the orchestra in concert of Stravinsky, Ravel, Dallapiccola, Falla and Schumann. He'll be joined on stage by pianist Khatia Duniatishvili and flamenco singer Marina Heredia. The concert opens with the Concert in E-flat Major for Chamber by Stravinsky and then Khatia Duniatishvili will be featured in Ravel's Piano Concerto in G Major. Music by Dallapiccola follows with his Piccola musica notturna and the Manuel de Falla's El amor brujo featuring flamenco singer Marina Heredia. The concert will close with Schumann's Symphony No.l, Op. 38, Spring.

Airs Monday, November 18 at 11 a.m. On this week's broadcast by the San Francisco Symphony, Michael Tilson-Thomas takes the podium to lead the orchestra in Prometheus by Franz Liszt and the Symphony No. 1 in g minor Op. 13 by Tchaikovsky. Violinist Christian Tetzlaff will join maestro Tilson-Thomas for a performance of the Violin Concerto by Ligeti.

Airs Monday, November 11 at 11 a.m. On this week's concert by the San Francisco Symphony, Esa-Pekka Salonen will take the podium and lead the orchestra in music by Sibelius, Salonen, Wagner and Schoenberg. The concert opens with Sibelius' Pohjola's Daughter, Op. 49 and then violinist Leila Josefowcz joines the orchestra for the Violin concerto by Salonen. Soprano Christine Brewer will then be featured in excerpts from Wagner's opera Gotterdammerung and the program concludes with the Five Pieces for Orchestra by Arnold Schoenberg.
