Airs Monday, April 13, at 11 a.m. This week we conclude the 2014-15 season of concerts from the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra as Music Director Manfred Honeck conducts “Don Juan” and the Suite from Der Rosenkavalier.  Plus, you’ll hear the Elektra Symphonic Rhapsody – music conceived by Manfred Honeck and arranged by Czech Composer Thomas Ille. It’s the final concert from Pittsburgh Symphony Radio hosted by Jim Cunningham.

Airs Monday, April 6, at 11 a.m. This week on the Pittsburgh Symphony Radio concert It’s an all-American concert with Michael Stern conducting The Pleasure Dome of Kubla Kahn by Charles Griffes; Leonard Bernstein’s Fancy Free Ballet; Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring; and George Gershwin’s An American in Paris. Jim Cunningham will host.

This week on the Pittsburgh Symphony, Music Director Manfred Honeck conducts Mahler’s magnificent Symphony No. 9.  Jim Cunningham will host.

Airs Monday, March 23, at 11 a.m. This week on the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Nicolas McGegan conducts Vivaldi’s Four Seasons featuring Ye-Eun Choi on violin. We'll also hear Haydn’s Symphony No. 103 and the Chaconne from Idomeneo by Mozart. Jim Cunningham will host.

Airs Monday, March 15, at 11 a.m. This week on the Pittsburgh Symphony Radio broadcast, it’s the finale of the Pittsburgh Symphony’s Mozart Festival. Manfred Honeck is joined by soloists and the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh in selections from the Mass in C major and Requiem. Plus hear excerpts from several of Mozart’s operas. Jim Cunningham will host.
