Shreveport Dog Park To Officially Open Friday

SHREVEPORT  DOG PARK:    The long  awaited Shreveport  Dog  Park officially  opens its gates Friday with  a  Ribbon  Cutting  Ceremony at  5pm  near the  Stoner  Boat  Launch  Facility at  Clyde Fant Parkway on  the  Riverfront.    Cynthia Keith, Director of the  Shreveport  Dogpark  Alliance explains the event and more about the 4-acre site which is divided to accommodate large and small canines. Violations may result in fines or loss of privileges. Hours of operation posted. The attendant must ensure their dog(s) have documentation that their dog's required vaccinations are up-to-date.  Vaccination tags must be displayed on the dog's collar. Remove dog for excessive barking, aggressive behavior or fighting.  Report all bites to (318)226-6624. No dangerous or aggressive dogs allowed.Owners are liable for injuries or damage. Call Shreveport Police for non - emergencies (318)673-7300.  All dogs shall be free of contagious or infectious diseases, parasite-free, with no visible wounds or injuries. Chuck Smith brings more than 30 years' broadcast and media experience to Red River Radio. He began his career as a radio news reporter and transitioned to television journalism and newsmagazine production. Chuck studied mass communications at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia and motion picture / television production at the University of California at Los Angeles. He has also taught writing for television at York Technical College in Rock Hill, South Carolina and video / film production at Centenary College of Louisiana, Shreveport.
