SHREVEPORT DOG PARK: The long awaited Shreveport Dog Park officially opens its gates Friday with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 5pm near the Stoner Boat Launch Facility at Clyde Fant Parkway on the Riverfront. Cynthia Keith, Director of the Shreveport Dogpark Alliance explains the event and more about the 4-acre site which is divided to accommodate large and small canines. Violations may result in fines or loss of privileges. Hours of operation posted. The attendant must ensure their dog(s) have documentation that their dog's required vaccinations are up-to-date. Vaccination tags must be displayed on the dog's collar. Remove dog for excessive barking, aggressive behavior or fighting. Report all bites to (318)226-6624.
