San Francisco Symphony: Mozart's Jupiter Symphony

Airs Monday, August 14, 2017, at 1 p.m. The San Francisco Symphony continues its season of broadcast concerts when violinist Alexander Barantschik joins conductor Herbert Blomstedt for the Violin Concerto No. 1 in B-flat major, K.205 by Mozart. The concert will also feature Mozart's Symphony No. 35 in D major, K.385, Haffner; and Mozart's Symphony No. 41 in C major, K.551, Jupiter. To fill out the program from the archives Michael Tilson Thomas will lead the orchestra in Bernstein's Suite from a Quiet Place.
